Welcome to my Free Yoga Nidra guided meditations. Show yourself some gratitude for taking time out today to provide self care, nourishment and restoration for your mind and body.

You can listen to several meditations listed below which will direct you to my YouTube channel. You can also download the App called, "Insight Timer" which is a free meditation app and you will be able access free meditations with me by searching my name, Sharlean Windus is the App.

Steps to prepare for Yoga Nidra:

  • Find a comfortable position lying down in shavasana on your back in a space free and clear of distractions.

  • Turn off your phone or anything else that may interrupt your meditation.

  • Legs should be slightly apart, feet falling gently to the sides, arms at sides, palms facing skyward. Eyes can be open or closed, use an eye pillow if you wish or darken the room for relaxation.

  • Try not to fall asleep during the meditation allowing you to fully receive the benefits of Yoga Nidra.

  • Keep a blanket close by as your body temperature may drop during Yoga Nidra. This is common due to the relaxation of the parasympathetic nervous system. 

  • Remember that any experience you have is okay, there is no right or wrong way to experience Yoga Nidra. If you get distracted return to your breath or the sound of my voice.
